Double-Flowered Cherry: Motoura of the Minami Yamasakiya (Minami Yamasakiya uchi Motoura, Yaezakura), from the series "Beauties of the Floating World Compared to Flowers (Ukiyo bijin hana ni yosu)" is an internationally celebrated Color woodblock print; chuban created by Suzuki Harunobu (c. 1768-1769). From the collection of The Art Institute of Chicago.

Provenance

Edward Colonna (1862–1948); sold to Clarence Buckingham (1854–1913), Chicago, May 1907; by descent to his sisters Lucy Maud Buckingham (1870–1920) and Kate Sturges Buckingham (1858–1937), Chicago, 1913; given to the Art Institute of Chicago, 1925.
